It’s all happening in Melbourne. Not only are restaurants, cafes and bars popping up all around the city but the next month or so is completely jam packed full of foodie adventures.
First cab of the rank is Taste of Melbourne. Enjoy a night full of crowns (their own internal currency), cocktails and copious amounts of bite sized snacks from highly acclaimed restaurants across Melbourne. Create your own Melbourne centric Degustation to be consumed all in the one night. I’m there!
November is Good Food Month. Which means you get to rub shoulders with acclaimed chefs like Yotam Ottalangi while he is in Australia launching his new book Plenty More as well as world renowned chef, Alice Waters who is among many things an American chef, author, food activist and proprietor of Chez Panisse restaurant in Berkeley, California.
November also means – Night Noodle Markets. Last year was the first time these markets graced our Melbourne soil. And now it’s back again in 2014, bigger and brighter than ever, in a brand-new location at Birrarung Marr on the other side of the yarra. Over 17 summer nights, the banks of the Yarra will come alive with all the colour, sounds and smells of an authentic Asian hawker market plus the buzz, hype and vibe of a huge outdoor festival.
