This season of The Block unveiled a completely new concept. A hospitality space which is part and parcel of The Block Challenge.
The iconic octagonal Hotel Saville in Prahran, just a stones throw away from Punt Road, has been the home to this seasons The Block - otherwise known as "The Blocktagon". Each team was allocated a floor to completely design and style from scratch. This is fairly standard to the usual Block concept. The cafe tack on was where things got really exciting. The teams had to pitch concepts for the ground floor cafe to the judges and the best concept was chosen to be created into the styling of the cafe.
The Block Cafe, otherwise known as Mister Zen, is where we fit into The Block story for 2015. OrderMate was asked to be the supplier of POS for this very exciting National Project. Natalie and Sam Osborne, who also own Piccolo in Prahran, met The Block crew several seasons ago and bought a coffee caravan to cater to the crew, contestants and tradies on the strength of the bond that formed.
As Natalie said herself, OrderMate helps her quickly put orders through especially when they are getting slammed, like during the Open House Inspection when thousands of Block fans and budding punters alike queued up for hours to get a sneak peak of the apartments.
